Before any holiday, looking forward to it and even the journey there is all part of the magic, and it's no different with the Six Nations. When I board the train in a few hours there will undoubtedly be dozens, if not hundreds of Welsh supporters in full voice, and if your in the 'quiet zone', forget it! On a flight to Ireland once, the pilot refused to takeoff unless everyone listened quietly to the safety announcement. Forget the fact that everyone had so much drink inside them they couldn't have possibly remembered or followed the instructions had we landed on the sea. The train driver won't have this problem, but like the pilot, I'm sure he'll be pleased to be sitting up front.
Scotland v Wales at Murrayfield…?
I'll go for Wales on past performance but Scotland must fancy themselves after the last game against Ireland. The winner goes second, and if the Welsh can do it, then the match in Cardiff on 16th March could decide the tournament. OK you could say the same for Scotland, but they are in Paris for their last game, and do you really think the French are going to be presented with the 'wooden spoon' in front of their home crowd?!
Let's remind ourselves of the table to date...

Look at France, rock bottom and they are in Dublin on Saturday for Ireland v France,
a 5pm kick off to enjoy after the walk back into town.
Head on down to Finnegan's Wake on Victoria Street, just up from the Grassmarket, a massive Irish bar with so many screens you could put a bag on your head and still not miss a thing. If you're still standing there's a great band on at 9pm, Absent Friends, Scottish/Irish electric fiddle, acoustic guitars, mandolin, keyboard and drums…blow your mind stuff.
On Sunday, the Italians visit Twickenham...
Last chance to learn the first 2 verses of the Scots anthem…
O Flower of Scotland,
When will we see Your like again,
That fought and died for,
Your wee bit Hill and Glen,
And stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
The Hills are bare now,
When will we see Your like again,
That fought and died for,
Your wee bit Hill and Glen,
And stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
The Hills are bare now,
And Autumn leaves
Lie thick and still,
O'er land that is lost now,
Which those so dearly held,
That stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
O'er land that is lost now,
Which those so dearly held,
That stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
The land of my fathers, the land of my choice,
The land in which poets and minstrels rejoice,
The land whose stern warriors were true to the core
while bleeding for freedom of yore
(Chorus)
The land whose stern warriors were true to the core
while bleeding for freedom of yore
(Chorus)
Wales! Wales! fav'rite land of Wales!
While sea her wall, may naught befall,
To mar the old language of Wales.
While sea her wall, may naught befall,
To mar the old language of Wales.
